HOW To
Mango Mitchellada
Something bold to sit n' sip on a lazy summer afternoon.
Let's Make It!
Step 1
You'll need to follow the instructions on your Lou's Mitchellada jar. Just fill with Clamoto for this Mitchellada recipe and let it rest in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours (feel free to leave as long as 3 days for full flavor).
Step 2
Cut up a lime and juice. You'll need the fresh juice later in the recipe.
Step 3
Rim your glass. This step not only helps with presentation, ut also adds a great deal to the flavor of a Mitchellada. We rimmed ours with Tajín and a bit of raw sugar. Since this is a Mango Michelada we wanted the sweet and spicy.
Step 4
Add your fresh squeezed lime juice. We added 1 half of a lime.
Step 5
Strain your Lou's Mitchellada into a measuring glass. This will help remove the loose herbs and limes in the mixture to ensure a smooth Clamoto mix.
Step 6
Add your Lou's Mitchellada mixture. to your glass with lime juice. Give it a quick stir before moving on to the next step.
Step 7
Add your beer. Since we're making a mango Mitchellada, we chose Golden Road Brewing Mango Cart. This is a light pilsner style wheat beer with the most vibrant mango flavor. It's delicious on it's own and especially delicious in a Michelada.
Step 8
Garnish is always optional. In this case, we chose to garnish with a piece of candied mango that is coated in chili and sugar.
Enjoy!
You of course can modify this recipe to add any additional ingredients or flavors your heart desires. This is just a jumping off point. Enjoy responsibly.
